the tours in russia / UK and Netherlands were great! some of the biggest audiences for clinics ever. for example over 700 ppl in Moscow! and it was exciting to tour in places like sibiria i was overwhelmed with the positive response one guy told me he travelled for as long as 3 days!! by car (one way) just to see me live. thank you all so much for showing up and making these events as exciting as they are.

also i had a blast performing with Nils Wülker onTour and also with Stoppok open air in my hometown of Hamburg Germany

what happened? i had a great time at NAMM catching up with a lot of friends and colleagues

i presented some new products i´ve been working on with Meinl here a short clip i did for MikeDolbear.com (i talk after Norbert Saemann )

and a interview for my Master Session Drumcamp

also i´m now a official member of the prestigious “Modern Drummer Pro Panel” and will contribute some articles in the future for the Magazine

The Drumcamp in New York was awesome! thanks to everyone at the Full Moon Resort and the great campers.

the 2nd leg of the tour with german composer and jazz trumpet player Nils Wülker was great and will continue in
April (check out the dates for more info)

clinics will bring me to the UK, Russia and the Neatherlands in the near future also more info is to be found in the dates section

whats in the pipeline already is a release of a nice piano trio EP, a clinic tour in Canada, a festival in croatia and a Master Session in Italy so stay tuned! :-)

first of all the “Language of Drumming Book” is now available. check it out ! its filled with a lot of new ideas, a CD with practice tracks and rounds up the groundbreaking DVD of the same name perfectly.

also there is the brandnew single out on itunes of the Ron Spielman Trio. In Feb. there will the the whole album available for preorder.

but i also played the Berlin Jazz Fest with Blue Touch Paper also i diligently worked on something veeeery nice that i can tell you about veeery soon …

also coming up are some release dates for records im proud of :
there will be a new elbtonal percussion album where i was allowed to play the drums on a stewart copeland composition. also very excited about the new ron spielman trio album ( a trailer clip coming soon) and blue touch paper will go on tour next year looking forward to that.

and finally i can already tell you that there will be another mastersession drumcamp that will take place in april …more info on that soon.

i just played a week in munichs jazzclub “unterfahrt” with 3ergezimmer and we had the best time but mainly i´ve been busy tweeking my home studio quite a bit. Im very happy to have a situation were i now can offer professional sound quality drumtracks that i can record comfortably at my place. that process of getting there room- and equipmentwise was / and still is very exciting for me ( but also very time and money consuming…:-) and i already recorded a cppl of tracks for L.A. based guitarrist Ed Degenaro here.

other than that check out this song that i recorded for Ingo Hassenstein. a very good friend of mine and great songwriter from germany. The band consists basically of a cppl of longtime friends, (that also happen to be great musicians) that Ingo put together here. this was only planned to be a ” lets have some fun and record one song” – thing …but since we did have a lot of fun, maybe there will be more stuff in the future …who knows. it will soon be available from itunes.

Greb goes to india

i will spend the next three and a half weeks as part of the faculty at SAM in India. an honour and a bit funny since i was studying the indian rhythmic culture for quite some time and now i get invited to teach at the music academy there. looking very much forward to it!
