first of all the “Language of Drumming Book” is now available. check it out ! its filled with a lot of new ideas, a CD with practice tracks and rounds up the groundbreaking DVD of the same name perfectly.

also there is the brandnew single out on itunes of the Ron Spielman Trio. In Feb. there will the the whole album available for preorder.

but i also played the Berlin Jazz Fest with Blue Touch Paper also i diligently worked on something veeeery nice that i can tell you about veeery soon …

also coming up are some release dates for records im proud of :
there will be a new elbtonal percussion album where i was allowed to play the drums on a stewart copeland composition. also very excited about the new ron spielman trio album ( a trailer clip coming soon) and blue touch paper will go on tour next year looking forward to that.

and finally i can already tell you that there will be another mastersession drumcamp that will take place in april …more info on that soon.

i just played a week in munichs jazzclub “unterfahrt” with 3ergezimmer and we had the best time but mainly i´ve been busy tweeking my home studio quite a bit. Im very happy to have a situation were i now can offer professional sound quality drumtracks that i can record comfortably at my place. that process of getting there room- and equipmentwise was / and still is very exciting for me ( but also very time and money consuming…:-) and i already recorded a cppl of tracks for L.A. based guitarrist Ed Degenaro here.

other than that check out this song that i recorded for Ingo Hassenstein. a very good friend of mine and great songwriter from germany. The band consists basically of a cppl of longtime friends, (that also happen to be great musicians) that Ingo put together here. this was only planned to be a ” lets have some fun and record one song” – thing …but since we did have a lot of fun, maybe there will be more stuff in the future …who knows. it will soon be available from itunes.

but by now we can only say sorry that this years mastersession is already sold out. due to the huge demand of this years drumcamp we are already working on putting a date up for an upcoming one in 2012. we will announce the details on facebook as well as here as soon as we have any infos. till then thanks for your interest and patience and see you soon.

Greb goes to india

i will spend the next three and a half weeks as part of the faculty at SAM in India. an honour and a bit funny since i was studying the indian rhythmic culture for quite some time and now i get invited to teach at the music academy there. looking very much forward to it!

check out my drumming on this new release by one of germanys biggest hip hop artists “Thomas D – Lektionen in Demut 11.0 ” this is an extraordinary album – i´m very proud of this one.

did some recording and a lot of preparing a cppl of projects that will happen this year – will keep you updated for example a fine “benny greb – drumcamp” – very exciting!

we finished the mixes for the upcoming Ron Spielman Trio album – and also plan to tour later in the year

i will play 2 more shows with AutoAuto! where we destroy a car musically …i hope to upload a video soon so you can get an impression of me when i´m out of my mind.:-)

in mid february i will hit the studio for a new trioproject with piano, bass and drums. it´s an honor to record with the wonderful turkish jazzpianist and composer Sabri Tulug Tirpan and my good friend and great bass player Martin Stumpf. i will keep you updated about this one for shure.

also 3ergezimmer will play a show in hannover …pls see the dates

other than that there is finally a clinic tour planned in italy ! in march ..looking forward to that. i will post the dates in the next cppl of days and i´m still working to make the “Language of Drumming” book perfect – that will come out on Hudson Music later this year.
